Program Notes:

‘Sing Me A Song’ is a lighthearted, dance like, piece in 11/4 with a very lyrical theme that features the tenor sax. During the improvised solo section clouds of orchestral textures are built around the soloist and have him float on top, contrast or play around what is pre composed. The recapitulation celebrates the theme scored for the full orchestra before the soloist takes over again and closes the composition
